Koi Suwannagate approaches her work through the prism of art. Each piece she designs is a completely unique, one-of-a-kind handmade garment, and reflects her own personal vision.
"My signature style is to sculpt and shape each piece to enhance and beautify the natural contours of the female body, draped in a way that allows fluid movement and ultimate comfort. I choose to work almost exclusively with the finest cashmere, silk and cotton, which adds an element of richness and superior softness that is the epitome of luxury and pure indulgence."
Mix in the rich color palette, including subtle tones and earthy hues, and the result is more than fashion, more than clothing, rather a timeless collectible that can be worn with confidence and joy for years to come.
Koi Suwannagate collaborated with Phillip Lim by incorporating her beautiful hand-sculpted rose designs in 3.1 Phillip Lim’s summer 2007 collection. Most recently the CFDA and Vogue acknowledged the designer’s talent with the nomination as finalists for the 2007 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award.
